Revive Us Again!
"Lord, revive us again. Lord, revive me. We would, each one of us, say, 'Amen' to that petition. Lord, revive the pastor. Lord, revive the Church officers. Lord, revive the workers. Lord, revive the members of the Church. Lord, revive the backslider’s. Lord, revive those who seem to live, but have grown careless. Lord, revive the Church at large throughout the whole earth. Spirit of revival, come upon us, now, for Jesus Christ's sake! Amen."

Revival is busy taking place around the world through the leading of the Holy Spirit. When Revival visits a city or a nation it signifies a renewal of spiritual life, a quickening of the powers of mind, soul and heart, which brings a resurrection from death to life. Transformation will not bring forth the good fruit of righteousness unless it is connected with the spirit of revival.
I would like to decree that you are about to encounter the spirit of revival. Welcome to a New You!… Revival is knocking at the door of God’s children. I’m so excited about what has happened in the last two months in our family, our church and our community.
We have been crying out to God for revival just like David (Ps.85), we were desperate for the fire of revival!
Psalms 85:6-7 TPT
“Revive us again, O God! I know you will! Give us a fresh start! Then all your people will taste your joy and gladness. Pour out even more of your love on us! Reveal more of your kindness and restore us back to you!”
It was a hunger for a touch of His heart, His powerful presence. And we have seen supernatural signs, wonders and miracles. The hand of God has moved over us in a powerful way as a church. It’s my hearts desire that as you read this blog, you will get so hungry for the fire of revival upon your life, so you can be a revivalist in your family.
We must preserve, maintain, and protect the intense burning fire of God within us. We can only keep the fire burning by staying in the presence of God, seeking His holiness. “Then you will seek Me, inquire for, and require Me [as a vital necessity] and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart. [Deut. 4:29-30.]” (Jeremiah 29:13 AMPC)
My husband and I have prayed for over two decades for a sovereign move of God, for the fire of revival to strike the nations. And I would like to share three keys with you, how to step into the fire of revival.
1. The Ministry of Warfare and Intercession
There has never been a spiritual awakening of revival in any city or country that did not begin in prayer! There never has been a prayer-less revival in history. Revival starts with prayer.
No church, family or community can grow without prayer. Prayer is a tool for transformation, prophetic legislation and warfare.
God made it very clear to my husband: He said to Him “Nicky if you want
the fire of revival burning in your family, churches across this nation. Start to pray”.
Revival can only be birthed through constant prayer, and we must sustain revival through prayer.
“Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land.” (2 Chronicles 7:14 NLT)
Notice what God said, “Pray and seek My face,” we should not only pray, but we also should seek His face. There is a difference.
We pray like this: “Lord, send revival. Amen,” then get up and just go on with our daily things. I think we should pray like this, “Lord, we are seeking You, we cry out to You and we’re so desperate for a touch and a movement of Your fire. Holy Spirit, we need You to send an awakening to this nation.
Jesus is our greatest example of how to keep on praying and not to lose hope. He taught His apostles to keep on praying.
Luke 18:1 TPT
“One day Jesus taught the apostles to keep praying and never stop or lose hope.
Remember we cannot organize a revival, but we can pray for a fire of revival to take place in our nation.
2. Remain Exposed to the Word of God
I personally believe that this is of vital importance for every believer, regardless of the time, this has to become part of your life, studying the written Word of God. Personal devotion time must become consistent. These precious times keep us burning with the fire of Holy Spirit within us.
“Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, For they shall be filled.” (Matthew 5:6 NKJV)
We can become so complacent in our Christian lives that we lose our thirst for God’s daily engagement. The psalmist David compared our spiritual thirst to that of a deer.
“As the deer(hart) pants and longs for the water brooks, so I pant- and long for You, O God.” (Psalm 42:1 AMPC)
“I long to drink of you, O God, drinking deeply from the streams of pleasure flowing from your presence. My longings overwhelm me for more of you!”
(Psalms 42:1 TPT)
I encourage you to join a balanced faith church. A Church that can teach you the true doctrine of God’s written Word; Activate you in the supernatural to set you on fire for revival and to do the work of the ministry.
3.Worship Him and He shall come
One of the greatest revivals the world will ever see is a movement of Intimate Worship. Then God’s children will come to Him in one accord and give Him all the attention of their hearts, to seek Him and worship Him in spirit and truth.
Worship will bring a holy fear into God’s people.
The Scripture teach us that the Father is looking for true worshippers who will worship Him.
“But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.”
John 4:23 NKJV
I can remember my husband asking the Lord during the early years of our ministry,…”Lord what is the key to revival?” and he heard an audible voice saying to him “JUST BEGIN TO WORSHIP ME”
Worship is the heartbeat of Revival!!!
When you worship Him in sprit and in truth, He comes. Your hunger to worship Him will draw you into revival.
Let’s pray for the fire of revival to come to our families, churches, to this nation of South Africa.
Pray that God will revive every individual upon this land. May God give us a fresh impartation of the precious Holy Spirit, that we may be able to rejoice in Him again.
Pray that God will give us a fire of love to burn for His kingdom, that revival will come and will stay in us.
