Take back your Self-Worth

“When a woman rises up in glory her energy is magnetic and her sense of possibility contagious.” (Marianne Williamson)

This is the month to celebrate women and what a perfect time to reflect on our self-worth. It is a season to rise up as Gods girls, reflecting His glory.

“ARISE [from the depression and prostration in which circumstances have kept you–rise to a new life]! Shine (be radiant with the glory of the Lord), for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you!” - Isaiah‬ 60:1‬ AMPC‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬

It’s time to arise to a new life from that unworthy place that has put you in a dark place of depression.

I know that we as women take ourselves for granted at times. We lose confidence because of unavoidable circumstances. If we fail to achieve what we want or we fail to succeed at something we have worked hard for, we lose confidence and we shrink back in disappointment.

In the process we lose our self-worth and self-esteem, even our self-respect. Many times, I have found myself thinking, of the word “Failure”. But as a child worthy of God, I take my mind captive and replace it with God’s word. You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you! Get up girl and try again.  I encourage myself with the written word of God and I start to realize that my worth does not come from my achievements or success.

Valuing your self-worth is an important part of your journey towards happiness, success, and living a life of abundance.

Your worth is rooted in something much deeper than someone’s opinion of you. Your worth is rooted in the unwavering thoughts of God toward you.

Just like Jesus’ sense of self-worth is based on His identity as the Son of God, your sense of self-worth is based on your identity as a child of God.

Genesis 1:26 Then God said, “Let us make human beings in our image, to be like us”.

Self-Worth is found in our Identity

The very first thing to remember is that you are valuable because of WHO you are. When you feeling discouraged or you feel that you don’t measure up, remember that your identity is in Christ. YOU ARE ENOUGH!  You are created in His image.  Before God created the universe, you were the focus of His Love. That is WHO you are and WHOSE you are.

The value God has placed in you is the value you should place in yourself. To do this, you must first change your mindset and recognise how valuable you truly are.

God views you through the lens of Jesus. When He looks at you, He sees His Son. To Him, you look like the finished work of Christ. He paid a high price for you. In the midst of all your mess and all the pain you face, He made the transaction.  You are worth it to Jesus, the living breathing God.

God does not make unprofitable deals. The Creator of everything , God Almighty found you valuable enough to pay a high price for you. To Him, it was highly profitable to give His Son for you.

DECLARE: I AM TAKING BACK MY WORTH!

Self worth is found in being confident in being Uniquely You

When you know your worth, you will embrace the uniqueness of who you are. Every unique trait and characteristic you possess will be celebrated by others around you. You will run your race that God has set before you, with great confidence. You will be happier. (Happy are the people whose God is the Lord)Ps.144:15b When you put your confidence in people, it only lasts a little while.  But when your put your confidence in Christ, the anointed one, it lasts for eternity.

“Because of his grace he made us right in his sight and gave us confidence that we will inherit eternal life.”Titus 3:7 NLT

Self-Worth will help you make Godly decisions.

When you know your worth, you won’t fall into the trap of pleasing people. You no longer fear how others will react in response to your decision.

Instead, your decisions are based on principles from the written word of God and not the fear of pleasing others.“For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.” - 2 Timothy‬ 1:7‬ NLT‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬

He empowered you to make Godly decisions for His plans and purposes for your life to come into fulfilment.

“But He is unique and unchangeable, and who can turn Him? And what His soul desires, that He does. For He performs what is planned (appointed) for me, And He is mindful of many such things.”

Job‬ 23:13-14‬ AMP‬‬

I pray that you will have a desire in your spirit to know your self-worth.  So that you can live every day in that place. Your life will radically change!

Forgive quickly

Love deeply
