Sound of glory
Sometimes I am so overwhelmed with the goodness of God and don’t know how to verbally express how wonderful He is, and before I can stop myself a song escapes my lips like a fountain springing forth from the inside of me.
David describes this as bursting into jubilant song in Psalms 98:1-7.
Sing to the LORD a new song, for he has done marvellous things; his right hand and his holy arm have worked salvation for him. The LORD has made his salvation known and revealed his righteousness to the nations. He has remembered his love and his faithfulness to Israel; all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God. Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth, burst into jubilant song with music; make music to the LORD with the harp, with the harp and the sound of singing, with trumpets and the blast of the ram’s horn— shout for joy before the LORD, the King. Let the sea resound, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it.
From the beginning of creation God created music and song to echo into the heavens. The heavens are filled with praise, music and song. Lucifer was created with music instruments on the inside of him to bring glory to God.
Ezekiel 28:13 – Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: THE WORKMANSHIP OF THY TIMBRELS AND OF THY PIPES WAS PREPARED IN THE DAY THAT THOU WAST CREATED.
When Lucifer sinned he did not give praise to God any longer but God knew that He would place within mankind the ability and the urge to praise and glorify Him. God placed on the inside of each of us a sound that we carry to bring Him glory. There are so many facets of God that we can celebrate. Sometimes we glorify His majesty and we might bring forth a peaceful melody almost like playing a harp or a violin. Other time we glorify His power and might sound like drums beating as we sing of the fire in His eyes. Perhaps when glorifying His love towards us we might sound like a piano playing love songs to Him.
Psalms 150:1-5
Praise the LORD. Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in his mighty heavens. Praise him for his acts of power; praise him for his surpassing greatness. Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet, praise him with the harp and lyre, praise him with timbrel and dancing, praise him with the strings and pipe, praise him with the clash of cymbals, praise him with resounding cymbals.
Every one of us has something in us that we can glorify God with, a sound we bring forth to Him and when we come together as a family or as a church we must sound like a whole orchestra to God. In Ephesians we see that we give of what we have in us to one another and to God.
Eph 5:19
speaking to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit. Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord,
When all our praise, worship and song come together, it fills the earth and the heavens as He intended it to be from the beginning of time.
You will know the sound by studying God's word. Here are a few scriptures that will awaken your sound in you.
• A JOYFUL sound. Psalm 89:15”How blessed are the people who know the joyful sound! O Lord, they walk in the light of Your countenance.
• A sound of an Army Marching. 2 Samuel 5:24”As soon as you hear the sound of marching in the tops of the poplar trees, move quickly, because that will mean the Lord has gone out in front of you to strike the Philistine army.”
• Sound of Victory. Joshua 6:20 “When the trumpets sounded, the army shouted, and at the sound of the trumpets, when the men gave a loud shout, the wall collapsed; so everyone charged straight in, and they took the city.”
• A sound of Abundance. 1 Kings 18:41 “And Elijah said to Ahab, “Go, eat and drink, for there is the sound of a heavy rain.”
God is about to release different sounds of revival.
Are you ready for God to release a sound from you?
What do you carry inside you?
Let us shout out the glory of God!
Rev 19:1 (Amp)
After these things I heard something like the great and mighty shout of a vast multitude in heaven, exclaiming,
“Hallelujah! Salvation and glory (splendor, majesty) and power (dominion, might) belong to our God;
I want to encourage you to start releasing that significant sound that God has entrusted you with, and let it echo wherever you go. Let us stand together and be a sound of revival, that will glorify God.
Forgive quickly
Love deeply
