Season of Maturity.

Psalms 1:3 TPT “He will be standing firm like a flourishing tree planted by God’s design deeply rooted by the brooks of bliss, bearing fruit in every season of his life. He is never dry, never fainting, ever blessed, ever prosperous”

After seeking God's face for 2021, this is what the Holy Spirit impressed upon my heart. One word “Maturity” Making room for yourself to “GROW” as God's child.

Matthew 6:33 AMPC “But seek (aim at and strive after) first of all His kingdom and His righteousness (His way of doing and being right), and then all these things taken together will be given you besides.”

In the written word of God, I found the following Scriptures in Colossians 1 which Paul concludes by declaring that Christ is the one he proclaims, not himself or anyone else but Christ. He teaches wisely with one goal in mind, “present everyone fully mature in Christ.” This should be the goal of anyone who teaches and preaches the pure Word of God.

And we should make this a goal in our life, to become spiritually mature in Christ Jesus.

Colossians 1:28-29 AMPC

“Him we preach and proclaim, warning and admonishing everyone and instructing everyone in all wisdom (comprehensive insight into the ways and purposes of God), that we may present every person *mature* (full-grown, fully initiated, complete, and perfect) in Christ (the Anointed One). For this I labor [unto weariness], striving with all the superhuman energy which He so mightily enkindles and works within me.”

Maturity correlates with how we, as believers, spend time with God.

Now the Holy Spirit has given me the three simple keys to grow Spiritually Strong in God :

  1. Time with God

There is nothing better than one-on-one time with God. During this time you read, study, pray and talk with God, or simply just sit in His wonderful presence and Rest in Him. My husband has taught us you can only be as close to God as you want to be; it all depends on how much time we are willing to put into our relationship with Him. Spending time with God is such a huge privilege.

2. Time in God's word

I would like to encourage you to invest a lot of time STUDYING and MEDITATING on God's word. We investing quality time, by reading this book “The Bible”. I also believe it will strengthen you and guide you not only for right now but for the weeks and months to come. Principles and lessons you are learning in the written word will come back to you when you need them in the future. Spending time in His word is an absolute necessity. The word will encourage you, give you wisdom, and give you the confidence you need to face each day.

3. Time with the Right People.

I believe this is one of the most vital points to grow spiritually, spending time with people who can encourage you, people who are hungry for the things of God. Make it a priority in your life to be around people who will build your faith, not people who will try to pull you away from Him. Think and pray about the types of people you need in your life as you walk with God, ask God to add valuable people to your life. Build godly relationships, not wasted relationships in this year. Be with people who can knit your love life closer to God. So you can eat of the abounding blessings and wealth God has in store for you.

Colossians 2:2 AMPC

“[For my concern is] that their hearts may be braced (comforted, cheered, and encouraged) as they are knit together in love, that they may come to have all the abounding wealth and blessings of assured conviction of understanding, and that they may become progressively more intimately acquainted with and may know more definitely and accurately and thoroughly that mystic secret of God, [which is] Christ (the Anointed One).”

My prayer for you this year is to become more intimate with God, to have greater revelations of His written word and for the right people to be around you, to draw you closer to God.

May 2021 be a journey to grow fully maturated in Jesus Christ.

Have a blessed 2021 !!

Love deeply, forgive quickly

Ps.Lil ❤
