HERE’S MY CUP LORD

How many of you can remember that song? “Fill my cup Lord, I lift it up Lord Come and quench this thirsting of my soul Bread of heaven, feed me till I want no more Here’s my cup, fill it up and make me whole” Is your cup empty? Is your cup lifted to the heavens to be filled again with joy? Do you have a deep hunger for God? Do you long for a fresh touch of God’s deep love for you? Have you come to the point in your life where you are drained? Are you filled with self-reliance, self ambitions, self opinions, self speculations, and fears of the future?

I have realized that I can do nothing without Christ. (John 15:5)

In other words, it is only when I have come to the end of myself that I am ready to receive the INFILLING of what Christ has to offer. At the end of me is the beginning of Him. Beloved, do you desire Him? Is there a longing inside of you for more of Him? I don’t know about you but, “I NEED MORE OF GOD” This is your set moment for your heart to be filled with everything God has prepared for you. But you thirst for His presence to fill you up in this season. My heart’s desire for you is to be filled with a walk, and a talk full of  Jesus. Experience Jesus in your empty situation. Encounter Him in your storm. Cry out to Him in whatever YOU face.

Every song and every moment in His presence is never wasted. Those precious moments and encounters are there for us to be filled with Him and only Him.

The Bible speaks of being full, filled up, and filling up many times throughout the Old and New Testament.

When scripture speaks of “filling”, it can mean all sorts of great things:

  • To be made full.

  • Or, to occupy to full capacity.

  • In the same fashion, to have plenty.

  • By the same token, to meet the needs.

  • Or, to satisfy.

INDEED, OUR GOD IS A GOD WHO, FILLS US, SATISFIES US, MEETS OUR NEEDS, AND GIVES US PLENTY!!!

Are you ready to be filled? Here is what awaits the heart that hungers to be filled:

  • His UNFAILING LOVE, Faithfulness

  • Goodness

  • An insatiable hunger for Him

  • To be filled with the Person the Holy Spirit

  • His Joy and Peace unspeakable

I want to bless you with 5 promises from God’s word to fill your CUP again.

  1. God promises to fill you with His unfailing love and faithfulness. He is compassionate and full of mercy. Beloved, know this… He loves you.

Joel 2:13(NLT)Don’t tear your clothing in your grief, But tear your hearts instead. “Return to the Lord your God, for He is merciful and compassionate, slow to get angry and FILLED with unfailing love. He is eager to relent and not punish.”

What an encouraging message from Joel!

The prophet Joel reminded the people of God’s patience, mercy, and compassion.

Declare with me: “God is filling me with HIS Unfailing Love and faithfulness”

  2. He promises to Fill your mouth with good things. Psalm 81:10(AMPC)“For I am the Lord your God, Who brought you up out of the land of Egypt. OPEN your MOUTH wide and I WILL FILL IT. (With good things NLT)”

Just as the Lord rescued the Children of Israel from Egypt, He will also rescue you and me. He invites us to open our mouths wide so that He might fill them with good things.

Declare with me: “Thank You Lord that as I open my mouth, You fill it with good things”

  3. He promises to fill the Hungry – (Psalm 107:9 NLT) “For he satisfies the thirsty and FILLS the hungry with good things.”

In this Psalm, we are reminded that our God satisfies those who are thirsty and fills the hungry with good things.

Declare with me: “WHEN I AM HUNGRY AND THIRSTY FOR GOD, HE FILLS MY LIFE WITH GOOD THINGS”

  4. He promises that you will be filled with and controlled by the Holy Spirit– (Luke 1:41 AMPC) “At it occurred that when Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the baby leaped in her womb, and  Elizabeth was FILLED with and controlled by the Holy Spirit.”

When we come into a PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP  with Jesus Christ, we can have a FRESH INFILLING OF THE HOLY SPIRIT.  At this point, you might ask – How can I be filled with a New Fresh infilling of the Holy Spirit? Especially when I’m in a dark place.  I have two words for you…..COMPLETE SURRENDER! To be filled with the Spirit is to completely SURRENDER your life to Christ and allow Him to have control.

I’ve heard this saying many times: “I vacate; God occupies.” In other words, “DIE TO SELF” so that the Holy Spirit can have complete control in your life..

  5. God promises to fill your cup with “UNCONTAINABLE JOY and PERFECT PEACE”   (Romans 15:13 TPT) “Now may God, the INSPIRATION and FOUNTAIN of HOPE, FILL you to overflowing with UNCONTAINABLE JOY and PERFECT PEACE as you TRUST IN HIM.  And may the Power of the Holy Spirit continually surround your life with His SUPER-ABUNDANCE until you radiate with Hope!!!

I Pray that you will be filled with complete JOY and PEACE as you completely trust in God. I pray that you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit! May God fill your cup with a deep longing for His Presence. May He meet your greatest needs and fill your heart with His Unfailing love.

Forgive quickly

Love deeply

Ps.Lil ❤
