I CHOOSE TO BELIEVE
“Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.” Mark 9:23 NKJV
How many times have you heard?, “Follow your dreams, believe in yourself and don’t give up”. I think the biggest challenge we will face in life is to believe in ourselves and show the world who we really are.
Being YOU takes courage. Believing that you can do what God has called you to do, takes faith. It requires you to have faith, that the God inside of you empowers you, strengthens you and give you courage to do anything. This faith knows that you can succeed in the very assignment that God planted inside of you. I can remember when I became a wife, a mother, a Pastor’s wife, a public speaker, and an author. I wondered if it was possible to raise godly men and if I would be able to do what God has set before me? But, when I started believing that I am loved, that I am chosen by God and that I am His great masterpiece, I knew I could do anything.
Remember, that you can do whatever God entrusted you to do, and that this is a race that only you can run. Have faith in God and believe that you can do it. I have walked through so many challenges in my life and I chose to trust God through my journey. I lived with the statement “Make Peace with your Process”. This truly helped me to do life successfully. I would like to encourage you, with three principles that helped me to believe that God is with me and in me, and that I could do anything He assigned me to.
I am HIS Beloved.
“Then Christ will make His home in your hearts as you trust in Him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong. “Ephesians 3:17 NLT
You are dearly loved by your Heavenly Father, He calls you His beloved. God’s love for you is the reason He saved you, not man. When we feel rejected and not worthy enough, choose to believe the truth of God’s written Word. Believe the truth that you are deeply loved by your Heavenly Father. He makes His home in your hearts as you welcome Him and trust in Him. Your roots will grow down into His unconditional love and it will keep you steadfast. Reminding yourself what His word says: “because of His rich, unconditional love for us, even though we lived by whatever natural cravings and thoughts our minds dictated, living as rebellious children, God still loved us with a great compassionate love, who is so rich in mercy.(Ephesians 2:4-5)
God does not merely tolerate you. Sometimes we find that we “tolerate”people in our lives. God is not like that. There is no impatience in Him. God loves you deeply and intimately. His love for you is so vast that it can hardly be described or even fully comprehended.
2. I am His Masterpiece.
“For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.” Ephesians 2:10 NLT. You were created for a purpose. God has a good plan worked out for you to do here on earth, and He custom-made you for that purpose. It’s awfully tempting to measure ourselves against the people around us or the images portrayed through media. But that kind of comparison will always lead to discouragement. God never created you to be a copy. He only created you to be YOU. You were not made to be like any other person. You are God’s masterpiece, so Be Real, Be You.
3. I am Chosen
“And He chose us to be his very own, joining us to himself even before he laid the foundation of the universe! Because of His great love, He ordained us, so that we would be seen as holy in His eyes with an unstained innocence.” Ephesians 1:4 TPT
What a thought! Before the earth was formed, God had already selected you. He knew what your life would look like (Ps.139:16), He knew the kind of person you would be (Jeremiah 1:5), and He picked you. You may feel rejected or overlooked by people, but the King of the Universe has chosen you as His own. You are His special possession, chosen to bring Him glory. He called you out of darkness into His glorious light.
Take a moment today, look into the mirror and see the Masterpiece God has chosen to reveal His glory. Being yourself will propel you into your God given purpose.
