Mantle of Prayer!

Luke 22:46 NLT - “Why are you sleeping?” he asked them. “Get up and pray, so that you will not give in to temptation.”

When we know Jesus personally, we find that prayer is our lifeline.

Prayer, combined with the Word of God, is what draws us closer to the heart of the Lord and it builds our faith. If we ignore prayer, we will have no relationship with God and temptation will be our god. Prayer is a passion for me. I absolutely love to pray! It’s my place of rest and peace. My family knows when momma is up, they hear the sound of prayer. Jeremiah 33:3 says; “Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know”.

Have you called out to God lately to intervene in your life and in your situation. Be intentional in your time of prayer, tell Him what

you need and thank Him for all He has done (Philippians 4:6). Everything Jesus did was intentional. Everything He said and everything He did fulfilled the purpose that God laid out before the foundation of the world; the salvation of mankind.

I personally think God’s greatest desire for His children is to reveal His glory on the earth, through prayer and intercession.

This generation is so blessed and privileged to be able to witness and experience a MOVE of Revival and a spirit of God’s presence and the manifestations of God’s glory. Why? Because of generals who paved the way of Intercession and paid a price of Revival Prayers!! The set time is here and now to experience a deeper level of God’s righteousness, His fire, His presence, His glory. SAY: ITS NOW! But we can only experience this when we pay the price of prayer.

We want revival in our families, our church, communities, in South Africa, but we don’t want to pay the price of seeking God. I believe God is going to stir up a new hunger inside of you and me for prayer. It’s time we take up the Weapon of Prayer. The church has lost its power to pray; we have become very lazy. If the disciples were lazy to pray (Luke 22:46), who walked very close with Jesus, how much not more we as believers in this time and age.

We see this in scripture in the book of Ezekiel that God found none to stand in the gap for intercession.

“I looked for someone who might rebuild the wall of righteousness that guards the land. I searched for someone to stand in the gap in the wall so I wouldn’t have to destroy the land, but I found no one.” Ezekiel‬

Why do we need to Pray?

  • To stand in the gap for others,

  •  We can build the wall of righteousness to guard our families, our land,

  •  It releases the Glory upon our lives,

  •  To lead a church, our families, businesses, etc.

  •  Unlock Heaven’s doors for miracles,

  •  Draw us closer to God, to have communion with God / RELATIONSHIP,

  •  Have supernatural encounters,

  •  Hear God’s voice for a clear direction to your destiny.

In today’s life, a majority of BELIEVERS don’t have a personal prayer life. They don’t maintain a living CONNECTION with God.

When we do not cultivate our prayer life, we end up tired, defeated and walking with a quitting spirit. Just as we need to charge our mobile phones to be able to communicate with others, so we need to charge our prayer life to connect with our Heavenly Father. I believe God is calling His church back to Prayer and Intercession.

 1 Timothy 2:1-3 (Amp)

“First of all, then, I admonish and urge that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be offered on behalf of all men, v2 For kings and all who are in positions of authority or high responsibility, that [outwardly] we may pass a quiet and undisturbed life [and inwardly] a peaceable one in all godliness and reverence and seriousness in every way.

According to scripture, EVERYONE IS INSTRUCTED TO PRAY FOR ALL PEOPLE! “Say…that includes me” We have to have an intense passion for prayer.

 WHAT DOES PRAYER DO?

  • Gives us Power to overcome Trials, Trouble and Tribulations,

  •  It Revives our spirit; encourages us to not quite and to strengthen our hearts,

  •  It brings revelation to our assignment,

  •  Refuel our spirit man,

  •  Places Authority within us to place a demand in the spirit,

  •  Prayer creates a hunger yielding to God,

  •  Prayer helps us to embrace our relationship with God.

In Matthew 6 where Jesus teaches His disciples to Pray; “Our

Father” they saw something in the prayer life of Jesus… “HE SPENDS HOURS WITH HIS HEAVENLY FATHER AND MINUTES WITH MAN”

I pray that from today you will have a hunger to have constant communion with God. May the Holy Spirit come and teach you how to have a closer relationship with your Heavenly Father.

You are just as powerful as your prayer life. Our prayer life reveals our maturity in God, whether you a wife, mother, businesswoman, minister of the gospel, no matter who you

are, it will show evidently in your time spent with God. Something I have seen in my profession; Ministers of the gospel preach only at the level of their time spent in prayer.

Most People just pray when they have a need. God will use your need to keep you on your knees to cultivate a relationship with Him. I would like to lead you into an end time prayer. This will help you to create a deeper hunger for prayer.

Declare these words:

  • God give me a Mantle of Prayer, say out loud-make a proclamation “GIVE ME A MANTLE OF PRAYER”,

  •  Teach me How to Pray,

  •  Give me the energy to pray to God with the breathe of God,

  •  Give me a heart and mind of God to decree a matter and to see it happen,

  •  Merciful God, change the climate from anger to love, from fear to great peace,

  •  May you transform me to be an agent of Revival Prayer for the next generation,

  •  I pray that people will feel the spirit of prayer, wherever I go –in their homes, in the street, in their families, in their workplace. That their hearts and minds be changed by simply stepping into the atmosphere of Prayer. In the Name of Jesus!

Forgive quickly

Love deeply
