Power of a Blessing
Never underestimate the incredible power and tremendous blessing of the hand of God.

When God gives you a vision, He trusts you to get the job done. God knows the gifts which He placed on the inside of you. He knows you from the inside out. God knows your skill level and what you’re capable of accomplishing. God knows your faith level. He knows your fears, your strengths, even your weaknesses. He knows your character and what’s in your heart. God wouldn’t ask something of you that He knows that He did not put in you. And when God gives you an assignment to complete, He will give you the grace and His hand of blessing to complete the assignment at hand.
I would like to help you on how to pray a prayer that will propel you to fulfill your God given assignments, dreams, and visions. This prayer is known as the Jabez Prayer which we find in scripture… “And Jabez called on the God of Israel saying, “Oh, that You would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory, that Your hand would be with me, and that You would keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain!” So God granted him what he requested.” (1 Chronicles 4:10)
This prayer of Jabez has radically changed my life, my marriage, my children and my ministry. God exceeded more than I have ever thought or imagined. I’m a living testimony of the Lord’s blessed hand upon my life. Through a simple believing prayer, it changed my future. You can change what happens one minute from now, when you pray the Prayer of Jabez.
The prayer of Jabez will purify God’s powerful will for your future, because it reveals that your Father longs to give you so much more than you may have ever thought to ask for. He will open His generous hand which is full of heavens blessings, and will satisfy you. (Psalms 145:16 TPT)
Another great example of how God blesses us through a heart to heart request was when Moses said to God on Mount Sinai, “Show me Your glory” (Exodus 33:18), he was asking for a more intimate understanding of God, and in response, God described Himself as “the Lord, the Lord God, merciful and gracious, long suffering, and abounding in goodness and truth” (Exodus 34:6). Isn’t this absolutely incredible! The very nature of God is to have goodness in so much abundance that it overflows into our unworthy lives. If you think of God in any other way than that, I’m asking you to change the way you think. Let your mind be transformed through this revelation and the written Word…..Why not make it a life long commitment to ask God every day to bless you and while He’s at it, bless you in abundance!
Declare: I receive the unlimited power of God’s blessing upon my life right now, in Jesus Name!
God’s hand of blessing is limited only by us, not by His resources, power, or willingness to give. Jabez was blessed simply because he refused to let any obstacle, person or opinion be larger than God’s nature. And God’s nature is to bless His children.
Blessing is not about sneezing. We hear “bless” or “blessing” from every pulpit. To bless in the biblical sense means to ask for or to impart supernatural favor. When we ask for God’s blessing, He gives us the unlimited goodness of His power and riches. This kind of riches is what the writer was referring to in Proverbs: “The blessing of the Lord–it makes [truly] rich, and He adds no sorrow with it [neither does toiling increase it].” Proverbs 10:22 AMPC
When your pray the Prayer of Jabez:
The very first thing you do when praying the Prayer of Jabez, acknowledge who God is.
Pray with a heart fully invested in the blessing of God.
Ask God to multiply your territory and to do more in and through you.
Pray for the power of God’s hand to protect you and lead you to your destiny.
Pray that God will keep you from any distractions that will hinder you to fulfill your great assignment. Ask Him to protect your heart through the process.
I pray that God will come in a sovereign way to bless you every day as you pray the prayer of Jabez. Your life will be changed in a supernatural way. God will release His miraculous power in your life. Remember it’s God’s nature to empower you with His blessings.
