The Engrafted Word
“God’s Word is perfect in every way; how it revives our souls! His laws lead us to truth, and his ways change the simple into wise.”
Psalms 19:7 TPT
I would like to share something with you. It is something I love to do every day of my life. I can’t go a day without doing this wonderful thing in life. It’s reading God’s Word, allowing Him to engrave His word upon my mind, heart and soul. It’s my favorite thing to do in life. I want to be consumed with who He is.
I have learned through the years that there’s no book on the face of the earth that can transform me like the written word of God. The purpose of this blog is to create and impart a hunger inside of you. I trust and believe God to place a renewed desire within you to have His words engraved upon your heart. Be ready for a supernatural awakening of His word to come alive inside of you.
Engrafted! Such a beautiful word, but what does it mean? It means implanted by nature or implanted by another's instruction. The Word of God should be implanted within our lives.
When we get saved, we became a new creature. Christ takes who we were and desires to replace it with who He is, and He is the Word.
Why then do we still sometimes live in what has been replaced? The flesh is powerful. I must die to the flesh and live in the " ... engrafted word, ..."
God’s Word is perfect spiritual law as we see in scripture (Ps.19:7). It works through the human spirit and is a spiritual cure. Like any other medicine, it must be applied on a regular basis.
We have to speak God’s Word to our circumstances or situations.
James 1:21, give us clear instruction to receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to deliver and save our souls.
Once the word of God is engrafted into your spirit, it produces results in the body as well. “Therefore, lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.”
Jesus said, “If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.”
John 15:7 NKJV.
When God’s word become engrafted or infused into your spirit it has become a part of you. It cannot be separated from you. The word becomes your flesh….
Matthew 9:13 AMP
“Go and learn what this [Scripture] means: ‘I DESIRE COMPASSION [for those in distress], AND NOT [animal] SACRIFICE,’ for I did not come to call [to repentance] the [self-proclaimed] righteous [who see no need to change], but sinners [those who recognize their sin and actively seek forgiveness].”
How does God expect me to show Mercy to everyone? “How do I become an Agent of Mercy?”
What is my starting point?
I would like to give you the greatest secret, get into the “BIBLE”!!!
Every answer, any guidance, wisdom, knowledge, authority, identity, grace or anything you need to be transformed is in the written word of God. When we study this book; we realize that mercy matters so much more to God, than judgment.
God doesn’t want to judge, He rather wants to be merciful and compassionate.
Now, when you speak the word of God from your heart, then faith gives substance to the promises of God. Your faith frames your world every day.
Jesus makes it very plain – “a good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good things..”(Matthew 12:35).
In the first chapter of Genesis, you will notice that every time God spoke, creation took place. Words are the CARRIERS OF FAITH! The universe was framed by the word of God. (Hebrew 11:3).
It’s the same with our words we speak. It creates images and eventually you will live out the reality of those images.
Every time you speak, your faith creates a stronger image inside of you.
If it’s healing you desire, the healing image is created by God’s word combined with your continual affirmation and agreement with it.
Your Faith Possesses Reality
This example is found in Mark 5:25-28, where the woman with the issue of blood said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be made whole. She continued to speak until she saw herself well.
Her hope became her Faith. She hoped to be healed as she pressed through the crowd. That hope was her goal. She didn’t feel healed, or even look healed. But she began filling hope with faith-filled words, “I shall be restored to health. I shall be restored to health.
I shall be ….. I SHALL BE ….”
When she touched His clothes, her touch of faith made such a great demand on the covenant of God and the anointing that was upon Jesus. That faith that was within her became the substance of her hope and her words became a living reality.
I pray that the engrafted word will become your reality. Walk by faith and not by sight. We serve a supernatural God that can do the impossible.
Speak life
Forgive quickly
Love deeply
